It's a girl!!!

Not a baby girl, but a girl dog. Sassy is the newest addition to our family and an early birthday present from my mom. We went to look at puppies just for fun on Saturday. Caden really likes our friend's dog so we thought he would enjoy this. Dana and I had discussed getting a dog, but hadn't been able to agree on a breed. I prefered a poodle mix for allergy reasons. Dana prefered a large dog that didn't look like a poodle. As you can see, Dana won. Doesn't seem right for my birthday present. :). Anyway, we didn't want a loud, hyper dog and we wanted it to be young, but already house and crate trained. Sassy fit the bill to a T. I don't know who loves her more, Dana or Caden.

More Applesauce, Please!!!

Caden really likes his applesauce. The pictures speak for themselves.

P.S. - Dana and I don't eat like
this so I'm not sure where this is coming from . :)

Happy Saturday

We had the best day today! Caden and I started the day with some very early shopping. After breakfast we loaded up and went to the pet store to visit the puppies. We were fans of a little guy named Puggy. After a tasty lunch of BBQ we spent the afternoon outside. Caden even helped us with some yard work. :). It was a great day!

Caden has turned into quite the little climber. The other day while Dana and I were in the dining room Caden went around the corner in the living room. I told Dana that I had a quarter that Caden was on the couch....as you can see, I should be a quarter richer. Sure enough Caden had climbed right up on the couch. He wasn't jumping or rolling around though. He was just sitting there nice as can be holding the television remote.

Sunshine Days

The weather the last few days has been amazing. You can't beat a day with sunshine. I'll probably feel
differently in the heat of July, but right now I love it. The gloomy weather was starting to get to people.

With the better weather comes time outside. Dana and I try to get Caden out any time it's nice enough. With a nice, fenced backyard he run (his version of running) around and have a good old time.

Today Mrs. Catherine took the boys to the park. It looks like he had a great time. While I wish I could have been there too, I'm just going to be greatful that Caden has a teacher/caregiver who does fun things with him.

Messy Face!

Caden is back at Ms. Catherine's after a two week stay with mom dad.  While we loved seeing him all day, every day, I'm pretty sure he missed his friends.  We was having a big ol' time chatting it up with them when I picked him up last night.  I think we may need to purchase Ms. Catherine ear plugs.  He was so excited he just kept getting louder and louder.  :)  Anyways....enjoy his email.

Hi mom!

We are eating lunch and I wanted to show you my messy face. I thought you would like it. I'm going to take a nap after Mrs. Catherine cleans me up. I hope you are having a great day at work.

Love you!
Caden

Who's this guy?

We took Caden for his 10 month pictures tonight.  We're a little bit behind since I was in Nebraska most of last week.  Things worked out well though.  Caden was in an amazingly good mood tonight and we were able to do some family shots.  Hopefully we'll get some Christmas cards out this year since we got our pictures done early.  :)

We are all doing well.  Avoiding the flu and other bugs and keeping busy.  I had a work trip last week that took me to the middle of Nebraska for 4 days.  Dana was a single parent for the week AND helped my mom by a new car.  He's pretty amazing!  I never cease to be amazed at all that Dana accomplishes and he never misses a beat.

We are working on unpacking and getting settled.  I have lots of pictures to share as we have more time.

Dana and I were surprised when we saw this picture of Caden.  He does not look like our 10 month old baby.  This could be his school picture.  I'm not ready for that yet!
