Smiles and Talking

Caden is smiling and talking a lot more. It is such a joy to spend time with him and see him smile at you. Please take note of what his shirt says. :)

New Camera

Our new camera we purchased in October suddenly decided to stop working. Well, you have to have a working camera when you have a new baby. Our new camera obviously has some different settings than our old camera. This was made clear by the "deer in headlights" look that Caden had in all of the pictures we took. Thankfully, he's starting to adjust. :)

Couch Potato

Caden really enjoys watching TV. The other day he stopped eating and turned away so he could look at the TV. At least he still shares the remote with us. :)

5 Generations

This weekend Caden made his first road trip to visit Dana's family in Topeka. From Topeka we traveled on to Clay Center to take a 5 generations picture with Caden, Dana, Dana's mom Susan, Dana's grandma Beverly, and Dana's great-grandma Irene. This was a special opportunity and memory for our family.

Here is our birth announcement for Caden. The one we are mailing is different, this is our electronic version.

It's amazing how fast he is growing. I can't believe he is 6 weeks old today. Sadly, this also means that I am halfway through my maternity leave. I truely enjoy my job and coworkers, but I LOVE being at home with Caden. He is so precious. :)

The search for a TV stand

When we moved in May we decided to get a new 50 inch TV. Yeah! Well, you can't put a 50 inch TV on just anything. First of all, it's ridiculously large. Seriously. Second of all, it's a show piece.

And so, the search for the perfect TV stand began. We looked everywhere. Furniture stores, discount stores, online, everywhere. We finally found "the one" at Ashley Furniture.

Once we found "the one" we had to make the purchase and get it home. Dana worked some Dave Ramsey magic and got us a great deal. He didn't stop there though. He couldn't see paying $60 for the stand to be delivered 1 mile to our apartment. So he took his two wheel dolly to the store and pushed it back to our apartment. Keep in mind that the stand wasn't in a box, it was already assembled. I"m pretty sure the salesman was even more surprised by this than I was. You see, I already know that I have an amazing and resourceful husband. How lucky am I?!
